Jacksonville Jaguars Fred Taylor Extra Activities

Jacksonville Jaguars starting running back Fred Taylor was arrested outside a Miami Beach nightclub early Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct. Taylor was released on his own recognizance and agreed to appear in court at a future date, according to Miami Beach Police Department spokesman Juan Sanchez. Taylor was not taken to jail.

Houston Texans fullback Jameel Cook was arrested and charged with marijuana possession on the 20th of August. He was pulled over for a missing front license plate initially. Upon a quick search of the vehicle the officer found a plastic bag with 2 grams of marijuana.

David Cornacchia gets year in the penalty box

How stupid could this guy be? David Cornacchia of the Florida Everblades was sentenced to 1 year and 1 day in prison for a incident on a American Airlines flight. David slapped a flight attendant, then head butted a passenger, and then he exposed himself on a flight from Toronto to Dallas. The sentence also includes 3 years of attending a substance abuse and anger management program, plus a $4,000 fine. This kids hockey career is over.

Chris Henry is resurrected

Are you kidding me? Is this some kind of joke? The Bengals are bringing back Chris Henry to help fill the recent injuries of the T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chad Johnson. Is there not a better player to pickup? Chris Henry will sit for 4 games until he can even start to play. Owner Mike Brown is making a big mistake bring back this dud.

Hokies Zach Luckett Suspended DUI

Virginia Techs projected starting receiver is suspended indefinitely for his 2nd DUI in the past year. Luckett who is 20, was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence and operating with a revoked license. This incident will have some impact as he is 1 of 2 receivers that are left on the team that has caught a pass in their college career. I guess this will open up the door for a true freshman to take the challenge.

Brett Favre Leaves Training Camp

The buzz is that Quarterback Brett Favre is walking away from the Packers training camp disgusted. I am really not sure what to think other than this whole situation is a bit uncomfortable for everyone and obviously a big distraction. Who ever thought of either forcing Brett to retire or if Brett decided on his own my thought is retirement should be considered when the player does not come back to play the following season. There is plenty of time for celebration and praise.

Carolina Panthers Wide Receiver Steve Smith was suspended two games by his team after a training camp fight with cornerback Ken Lucas. Steve Smith sucker punched Ken leaving him with a black eye and a swollen nose. They play against each other in practice daily and it seems it is a love hate relationship gone bad. Maybe Steve Smith just needs a hug.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Safety Donte Nicholson was tasered TWICE….not once but TWICE…and was charged with misdemeanour battery and resisting arrest without violence. Maybe he should play on offense.
